Assessment Predicts On-the-Job Success and Dramatically Reduces Turnover

As a leader in a competitive industry, Anixter has learned how to stay ahead of the competition. Their sales personnel complete an in-depth training (six months to one year) to ensure they are knowledgeable of all technical processes, Anixter product offerings, and associated vendors.

In the past, this rigorous training caused high turnover rates. Mike McDaniel, Director of Human Resources, began using a Wonderlic Personnel Test (WPT-R) that predicted on-the-job success to help reduce turnover. McDaniel was at­tracted to Wonderlic’s over 70-year history in cognitive ability assessment, the depth of job analysis provided by on-staff Interpersonal/Organizational Psychologists, and the online candidate assessment solutions, making turnkey implementation and tracking possible.
