Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST)

Educational testing that measures a student’s basic verbal and math skills based on job requirements.

Description

The WBST is a short-form basic skills test used in educational testing. Designed for adults, the WBST is part of many career school admissions testing programs. Scores on the math test and English test can be directly compared to the levels of basic skills required for success in entry-level jobs.

Content

Available individually or as a set, the WBST Verbal and Quantitative tests quickly and accurately measure skills required to succeed in nearly every career training program.

WBST content and results are directly tied to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Information Network (O*NET) and Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) General Educational Development Scales (GED). The powerful combination of these resources allows you to establish work-related optimal basic skills test score ranges for admissions testing or educational testing. These math test and English test scores can also be used to document gain in basic skills development classes.

Student Assessment

As admissions testing, administered prior to enrollment, the WBST math and English test help you verify that the candidate has the necessary job-related verbal and math skills. This basic skills test is also ideal for determining training program eligibility and outcomes. Click here to view a sample Individual Score Report for General Admissions.
