The Hay tests are ideal for detail-oriented positions such as clerical jobs, bank tellers, cashiers, warehouse workers and other positions requiring intense work with names and numbers.

Content

Mistakes in accounting, billing or shipping can have a seriously negative impact on your company's internal processes and reputation.

The Hay tests identify candidates with the necessary clerical skills for these core positions to help you improve the efficiency and profitability of your operation.

They measure a job candidate's ability to compare numbers and names for accuracy, use short-term memory effectively and quickly identify numeric relationships. Hay test scores reflect both the speed and accuracy with which the candidate performs these basic tasks.

Hay tests are available individually or as a battery:

  • Warm-Up Test: A 1-minute exercise that can reduce test-taking anxiety.
  • Number Perception Test: A 4- minute test that helps assess numerical character recognition and short-term memory retention.
  • Name Finding Test: A 4-minute test that helps measure alphabetical character recognition and short-term memory retention.
  • Number Series Completion Test: A 4-minute test that helps evaluate the ability to recognize, comprehend and make inferences about numerical relationships.

Purpose

Using the Hay Aptitude Test Battery as part of your employment testing process will help reduce document, shipping, and other process errors. Production and turn-around time will decrease as fewer discrepancies arise and your customers will have increased confidence in your product and service delivery.
