The Client Success
In a world where hiring the wrong candidate can cost a company as much as twenty times the employee’s salary, Wonderlic product offerings are helping placement firm, Future Focus LLC to ensure identification and referral of A-Level candidates to every organization they support. The firm defines A-Level as someone in the top 10% of their perspective field of expertise.
Future Focus LLC was founded by CEO Joe Koval in April of 2002, after eight years of managing regional and national staffing firms. Unlike many firms, Future Focus LLC offers clients a comprehensive discovery process to uncover all the requirements that each position demands: skill sets, compensation, geographic area, management fit, cultural fit, aligned intelligence, personality assessments and more. Specializing in high profile IT, Financial Industry, Human Resources and Field Service Engineer positions – the firm places director level strategic and tactical decision makers in positions at small to mid-size, local companies as well as international Fortune 500s. The Future Focus approach applies a unique screening process that includes questionnaires, intelligence testing and personal characteristics inventory profiles, which is where Wonderlic solutions support the process. The Wonderlic Personnel Test (WPT), Personal Characteristics Inventory (PCI), Comprehensive Personality Profile (CPP) and Entrepreneurial Quotient (EQ) help Future Focus LLC to ensure that both candidate and hiring organization can enter into the interview process with confidence by identifying candidates with the skills and attributes that are the best fit for the position.
“A successful placement always comes down to mitigating the risks for the hiring organization and the candidate. And assessment-based screening provides an objective viewpoint that adds credence for both the client and candidate. The more information you can uncover during the process, the better the predictability. I’ve used other types of assessments, but my personal opinion is that Wonderlic offers the most in-depth solutions.”
Joe Koval, CEO of Future Focus LLC
Wonderlic’s online enabled solutions also help Future Focus LLC to maximize valuable time. With pre-screening questions and instantaneous assessment results, Future Focus associates are able to quickly zero in on the potential A-Level candidates in a process whereby the time a referral is made to a hiring company, that candidate has spent as much as 25 hours with Future Focus staff to ensure position fit.
The Wonderlic Solution
- Wonderlic Personnel Test-Revised (WPT-R) measures an individual’s cognitive ability. Cognitive ability testing, or aptitude testing, has been scientifically shown to provide more reliable, valid and objective candidate information than resumés, educational achievement, references or interviews in predicting success on the job. As a cognitive ability or aptitude test, the WPT-R provides you with powerful, objective information to help you make the right hiring decision. The WPT-R can add value to most pre-employment screening process. The WPT-R employment test takes only 12 minutes to complete. It is administered online or via pencil and paper fax answer sheet and automatically scored by Wonderlic.
- Personal Characteristics Inventory (PCI) measures the personality traits deemed desirable by most employers. Developed by personality experts Murray Barrick, Ph.D. and Michael Mount, Ph.D., the PCI predicts successful job performance using five primary dimensions of personality, or personality traits, known as the Big Five: Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness Stability, and Openness to Experience.
- Comprehensive Personality Profile® (CPP®) describes a candidate's personality in terms of workplace strengths and weaknesses. The selection report is used in hiring decisions and matches personality with position requirements to help optimize person/job fit. CPP management reports suggest job structures and tools for employee motivation to increase individual productivity. The CPP helps measure seven Primary Personality Traits: Emotional Intensity, Intuition, Recognition, Motivation, Sensitivity, Assertiveness, Trust and Exaggeration.
- Entrepreneurial Quotient (EQ) helps measure strengths and weaknesses in key managerial personality traits to determine whether an individual has a creative, entrepreneurial management style or a more traditional, operational management style. This leadership skills test can be used in workforce development and pre-employment testing.
