General Assessment of Instructional Needs

Description

Measuring the educational needs and progress of every person in your program starts with the Wonderlic General Assessment of Instructional Needs (GAIN)®. Whether it’s a student in need of remedial tutoring, a jobseeker in a Workforce Development program, a person entering an Adult Basic Education or Literacy program or an applicant enrolling in a Career College, the detailed, yet easy-to-understand diagnostics this assessment for learning provides will help you steer them on the right path to success!

In just 90 minutes, this assessment for learning measures the English and math skills of adults and teens, from basic literacy and numeracy to more advanced skills taught in secondary schools. GAIN helps place students in courses that match their skill levels and provides information that can be used to create individual study plans to remediate deficiencies. Progress testing and post testing demonstrates educational gains students have made in the program.

The Wonderlic General Assessment of Educational Needs (GAIN)® helps measure English and math skills in accordance with the Educational Functioning Levels (EFLs) as defined by the U.S. National Reporting System (NRS). This literacy and numeracy test is approved by the U.S. Department of Labor for use in Workforce Investment Act (WIA) out-of-school youth programs and by the U.S. Department of Education for use in NRS-funded Adult Basic Education (ABE) programs.
