Update from the Career College Association Convention

John Picone, Director Of Education Sales

Wonderlic recently attended the Career College Association Conference and Exposition at the World Center Marriott in Orlando, June 14-16, 2009. This annual conference draws over 13,000 attendees including presidents, owners, directors and administrators of career colleges from across the United States and Puerto Rico. This year’s conference included speakers Chuck Hagel, U.S. Senator and Author, Daniel P. Madzelan, delegated the Authority to Perform the Function and Duties of the Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education, and iconic news anchor, Ted Koppel. The annual CCA Convention and Exposition is the only one of its kind for the career college community.

In addition to being the Official Survey Provider of the CCA Conference, the Wonderlic team unveiled a new Distance Learning Solution to the attendees – a timely solution considering the projected growth of Distance Learning programs which was the subject of several convention sessions. “It’s a critical segment for our clients, especially when you consider the news from the National Center for Education Statistics. By 2013, Distance Learning enrollment is likely to exceed 18 million students. We were excited with the interest shown in our offering - which identifies the skills and behavioral attributes to succeed in a non-classroom environment,” shared John Picone, Wonderlic Director of Education Sales.

For the past two years, Wonderlic has been the Official Survey provider to CCA. Attendee feedback on each of the fifty-five sessions is captured by our Survey Solution and comprehensive reporting is created for CCA leadership in order to support ongoing enhancement of this one-of-kind event for the CCA membership.
